Welcome
Residents are slowly returning to New Hartford after the town was evacuated. Flood waters spilled south over the railroad tracks. I walked to most parishioner homes Tuesday - where I could. Impacted parishioners include:
Mike and Georgia Bennett into first floor 602 Main
Olive Boyson into first floor 1207 Main
Bernice Sheetz didn't look like first floor 1112 York
Ann Nicklaus-Schmelzer into first floor 1204 Water
Justin and Sue Nicklaus into first floor 522 Main
Jim and Ann Saul basement only I think 314 Water
Mary Fowlkes could be first floor 130 Saratoga
John McEnaney into first floor I think 702 York
Tim and Dorothy Woods split level - almost to entry 1415 Main
Corey Woods - into first floor York St
Duane and Laura Barringer - have not heard update 29482 290 St
I am still not sure about Kathy Walters.
Don and Luella Green were OK.
Dan Simon west of Parkersburg was also flooded out of his home 21435 Hwy 57
The Nicklaus and Bennett families would welcome assistance. Olive, Bernice and Mary are all widows and eventually will benefit from our care. There is so much damage. If you simply go to their homes and see if they are around and what can be done.
Please keep these parishioners in your prayers. Please let me know who I am missing. May God grant us more favorable weather. Know that all of you who deal with water in basements are in my prayers too.
In Christ,
Fr. Dennis Quint
